Bugfixing in the current version 5.6.4.0

The update to HAN 5.6.4.0 is a service release that contains important changes. It is recommended that you install the update as soon as possible.

The following components have been updated:

• HAN Kernel:
  • Support for websockets for HAN via HAN
  • Adjustments for the values in the HTTP header ‘Referer’: If the value corresponds to the name of the HAN server, the entire header is not sent to the provider. This fixes an error that occurred, for example, when calling HAN resources from an alphabetical list etc.
  • Correction of an error in the processing of rights if these were set simultaneously for a HAN resource and for the use of authorisation at the level of login data.

• HAN API
  • The resolution of DOI URLs for the assignment of a URL to a HAN resource is terminated when the provider sets cookies. This fixes, for example, the error that a provider redirects to a check page after resolving the DOI to a full-text URL and the original URL is stored in the cookie.

• Server modules for self-registration

Attention:

The update to HAN 5.6.4.0 is purely a server update if self-registration is not used. In this case, it is not necessary to update the clients, as only an adjustment has been made to the user administration programme in the client components.
